Adding a New Case Manually

New cases can be added directly to Companion without using an email. The form is the same as when creating a case from the Inbox however the concern / complaint box isn’t prepopulated.

Please note: If you have Member access, this is the only way you can log a new case.

  • Click + New Case in the top-right corner of the screen
  • Complete the Complaint / Concern field
  • Select the Report Method
  • Record the Report Date (this can be backdated if required)
  • Optional: Use CompanionAI to generate a Case Title, or enter a title manually
  • Optional: Use CompanionAI to generate a Case Summary, or enter a summary manually
  • Optional: Use CompanionAI to generate Key issues
  • Select the appropriate Case Stage
  • Assign a Case Owner
  • Enter the Acknowledgement Deadline and Resolution Deadline dates
  • Add all relevant People Involved (complainant, subject, witnesses)
  • Select the relevant Status
  • Click Submit to create the case

Please note: The steps marked as Optional can also be completed once the case has been created.

The case will now appear in your Cases tab.
