Creating a new case from the Companion Inbox

To create a case from correspondence within the Companion Inbox, first forward the email to your unique Companion email address. Once the email appears in your inbox, follow the steps below to create the case.
- Click into the relevant email
- Select Create Case
- The Complaint / Concern field will automatically populate with the content of the email
- The Report Method will be pre-populated as Email
- Record the Report Date (this can be backdated if required)
- CompanionAI will automatically generate an editable Case Title
- CompanionAI will automatically generate an editable Summary
- Optional: Use CompanionAI to generate Key issues
- Select the appropriate Case Stage
- Assign a Case Owner
- Enter the Acknowledgement Deadline and Resolution Deadline dates.
- Add all relevant People Involved (e.g. complainant, subject, witnesses).
- Select the relevant Status.
Once all information has been populated, the email will move from Unassigned to Assigned within the inbox and will also appear in the cases tab down the lefthand side.
